Knights/Calanthe Enjoy FAMU Homecoming

“STRAIGHT OUTTA FAMU”

Members of the Knights of Pythias and Order of Calanthe along with Tallahassee residents and visitors filled Florida A&M University’s campus Saturday, October 17th to watch the Annual Homecoming Parade. More than two dozen organizations–including Grand Chancellor John Franklin, Grand Worthy Counsellor Emma B. Wade, Uniform Rank, Youth Department, groups, community centers, churches and others–participated.

This was the first time in the parade’s 50-year history that the parade started on FMU’s Campus instead of the downtown/Frenchtown areas.  Having the parade on campus was in keeping with this year’s theme, “Straight Outta FAMU.”  Following the parade Pythian and Calanthe members along with family and friends gathered for a delicious meal featuring fish & chicken at the Annual Homecoming Tailgate.  A good time was had by all.
